Communication with Parents

Mount Plunket Homebased Care aims to work in partnership with parents. Our introduction process helps families get to how our homebased service operates.

You are welcome to visit your child at any time they are in care with their educator.

If your child has any “special need” in any area discuss this with a coordinator or educator.

All matters will be treated confidentially.

Our latest Education Review Office report is available for scrutiny on request from the centre or may be read on line at www.ero.govt.nz

Because our lives are all different we have a variety of ways to keep in touch with you.

Mount Plunket Preschool web site allows parents to keep up to date with Homebased information.
Portfolio Books.
Programme planning and information relevant to the care arrangement is recorded in your child's portfolio.
Coordinators will also contact you on a regular basis about the care arrangement.
Nappy changes and sleep times are recorded and are available for parents to view.
Please feel free to approach a Coordinator or the Manager anytime regarding concerns over your child.
An Information booklet is given out at enrolment.
Monthly newsletters.
Regular get togethers and workshops are arranged or educators. Parents are welcome to attend these.
